Product shrinkage after the first wash was a concern as well as pilling. Besides these, I’m comfortable with the product.

I’ve been using my Merino 1/2 Zip Long Sleeve Shirt 145gsm Nuyarn for a couple of weeks now. I’m happy and my expectations were fulfilled. Thanks
While getting informed about the product, it felt good to choose “South African Merino”. Although very happy with the product, when I received my delivery with the nice hand written note, I was somehow disappointed to realize that it was “Made in Vietnam”.
“SOUTH AFRICAN MERINO MADE IN SOUTH AFRICA TO MOVE WITH YOU” would be perfect.

Love the washability. I use it for cycling on chilly mornings. The longer body length keeps my lower back covered

No-stink claims are 100% true, i recently hiked in the long sleeve shirt for 6 days and wore this shirt over it in the evenings. Both items layered well, were warmer than expected (when layered) and the shirt i walked in smelled clean after 6 full days of hiking without being washed. Much less sweating in my sleeping bag compared to viloft fabric. The wicking/breathability claim also therefore 100% true.
The fabric feels delicate, stretchy and prone to pilling, but i believe that is the nature of merino. Feels great next to skin (much better than the nylon/polyester hiking shirts which tends to take on the ambient temperature and feel cold on the skin). You must know what you are buying, but all in all i give Core Merino a 10/10

Fit is a bit on the large side and had to swop out for a size smaller.

I bought one of these mainly to use for cycle commuting and multi-day bikepacking trips. It performs perfectly for those purposes. Keeps me toasty on those chilly mornings, very lightweight, layers nicely, and can be worn days in a row without picking up odour.
As per previous comments, the fabric is prone to pilling, but this doesn’t bother me too much. It it very soft and comfortable against the skin. So much so that I’ve also started wearing it as a day-to-day casual garment (like as in just about every day!)
I usually fall between a small and medium fit, so chose this in small – it is snug, but loose enough to wear a baselayer or t-shirt underneath.
I would be great to see more colour options 😉
