I wore this Core Merino tshirt on my Camino de Santiago walk in Spain in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Each Camino was 800km long. I alternated the Tshirt on top of, or underneath my base layer long sleeve crew top. It was warm when the mornings were cool, and cool when the midday sun was hot. I only washed it about every 10 days. There was no smell! I was amazed. It kept its shape and fit and is about to see its fourth Camino in three weeks time. Highly recommended!!

Love it, especially for traveling.

An excellent investment. It really works as I wear this t-shirt on multi day hiking trips. That is, I only wear one t-shirt for the entire trip, even when I did 5 day Fish River Canyon Hike. It never smelled of body odour! Only I knew that I was wearing the same garment everyday. At the end of the day I would air t-shirt on a bush or a rock. The next morning it was ready for the adventure ahead.

I do backpacking and the core merino clothing is just perfect for these outdoor adventures. My most resent hike was in January when I did a 7 day hike (114km) from Port Edward to Port St Johns. I wore the same short sleeve core merino shirt every day……. keeping in mind that I crossed endless streams and rivers and dunked in the ocean every day and carried a 10kg backpack. I thought my top will be ruined after this tough hike, but it is still in perfect condition ready for the next adventure. I love the soft silky feel of the merino wool and its a comfortable shirt to wear in all weather conditions. Core Merino’s customers service is amazing! I have a few friends that do hikes with me and we all wear and enjoy our Core Merino shirts.

Great product and well priced. Sizes run small but was given good advice on how best to choose a size that would suit me. Would be nicer if the ladies shirts had a wider colour variety. Lasted well over a 2 month thru-hike.

The fit is perfect and the garment is really well made, I know I’m going to grow old in it! It’s a little bit warm for South African summers and something lighter might have been preferable but I think that the Nu yarn range is exactly that and so will order something from that range next time. I also love the colours, especially the blackberry

Great product. Super comfortable against the skin. Good for warm and cold days.

I am an avid hiker and I love my merino wool tops to hike in, often we are limited with regards to weight and I can wear my same merino top for 3 days maybe even 4 days. My tops have hiked all over South Africa, done the West Highland Way in Scotland and the Mardi Himal Trek in Nepal. My lucky merino wool tops are going back to Nepal again this year. I think on our Nepal trip last year there were 9 of us in the party of 16 who wore Core Merino tops (thanks to me)!!! I am also a tour guide in the city of Durban and I wear my Core Merino tops for all my guiding – no smell, comfortable and they look good!

I really like the tees but they pilled very quickly and got few tiny holes.

Comfortable, light

Very comfortable for casual or sport activities. Does not have an odour like other man-made fibers. Washes well. My favourite running top.

Love the weight and warmth of these garments. I have many long sleeved and shorts sleeved tops. Great for winter and summer.

It is silky soft, extremely comfortable and excellent quality. Cool in summer and and snug in winter. Great for hiking.

It is absolutely gorgeous and a fabulous neat fit!! Looks really good as a work-shirt, and the second one functions perfect as a running t-shirt. The workmanship is very neat and there are no seams that chaff. Sizing for this t-shirt is running on the smaller side – I usually wear a M top and the L top is a perfect fit. (Note: On the bras I find the L too loose and the M perfect! Also a gorgeous product!!)

Bought 2 – one in black and another in the plum-purple colour. They are both just lovely to wear. The wool obviously feels different to cotton, but the shirts are so soft against the skin, it doesn’t feel scratchy at all. As far as fit is concerned, I am on the taller side and I usually wear a size 34 although clothes are often too short in the sleeves and trouser legs. However, Core size M fits perfectly – accommodating broader shoulders without looking like a sack or being embarrassingly short in length.

I am a loyal customer of Core Merino. I do a lot of hiking and I find the shirts excellent to hike in. I am now a tour guide and have just ordered the shirts with collars which I will be using when I lead my tours. Love your product. At a rough count I have 15 items in my wardrobe from Core Merino. I have told so many of my friends and they also buy from you now. I think 7 of us who went to Nepal last year wore your tops!

Durable and fitting perfectly. The availability in more colours may be considered. Having said that it may have been the outcome of the sale that limited the availability of popular sizes in specific colours. All in all it is one of the best buys any customer can make!

I love wearing my short-sleeved Core Merino T-shirts (both the panelled and unpanelled ones) for hiking. No matter how sweaty I get the wool fabric wicks away the moisture and the best thing is that there is no sweaty odour! On a multiday trail I can wear it every day and remain as fresh on day 4 as I was on day 1.

Love Core Merino products. Have hiked in this shirt a number of times, its soft, comfortable, resilient.
Tracy –
Absolutely love my new T. I’m a 34/35 so medium is perfect. The fit is flattering and it’s long enough.
Worn it both as an under layer and stand alone on a warmer day and it worked perfectly. Washes well on normal cycle. Definitely going to buy more.

I have bought several Core Merino products over the years. I love them all, but this shirt is one of my absolute favorite items. Just to note on sizing: as a tall (1.75) person, I find that most of the shirts are a bit short. This means an annoying creep up when hiking with a backpack. It would be excellent if you can consider options for longer shirts, especially in the larger sizes.
Janet –
I am living in my Core Merino t-shirts! They are soft, comfortable and regulate temperature beautifully. I have worn them casually, for running, pilates, gym and yoga. Lovely fit as well.
Trixie –
It’s super comfortable. Feels good on the skin. The (short) sleeves are a good length (ie not too short) and I also like to overall length of the t-shirt. Important when hiking and climbing that it’s not too short. Colour is great, not too pale.
Annette –
Beautifully stitched, evenly tailored t-shirt. The larger size worked for me, but then I do not prefer slim fit. My shirt wash and dry well. This new t-shirt feels like my year old favorite!
Tracey –
Excellent product and outstanding service. The fit is comfortable and the fabric lightweight and scratch-free. I would definitely recommend Core Merino
Rebecca –
Very nice colour and fit around the body. Warm and snug too ( perhaps a bit too warm when it is very hot outside). That said, I could re-wear the shirt a good number of times on a multiday hike without it getting too sweaty or smelly. So although it was a bit warmer than I would have liked, it’s reusability and odour free fabric was a big win!!
I am 173cm tall and have lean-average build. I did find the arm holes a bit tight. The rest of the fit was perfect.
(I ordered a small).
